Breakfast Sandwich Sales Are on a Roll
Menuing breakfast sandwiches featuring turkey breakfast meats can help boost your a.m. sandwich sales. In 2012, 46% of all breakfasts ordered at a restaurant included a sandwich. That number includes traditional sandwiches on biscuits, muffins and breads, but also includes wraps and burgers, too.
Additionally, a quarter of consumers say they’re likely to order turkey breakfast sandwiches. In fact, breakfast sandwiches featuring turkey have increased by 26% over the past year.
Morning consumers are driven by habit, so give them something cravable in the morning that meets their desires for sandwiches featuring healthier proteins.
- Turkey Breakfast Wrap: A warm flatbread or tortilla is filled with grilled and diced turkey breakfast sausage links and turkey bacon, combined with black olives, scallions, parsley and shredded Jack cheese. Serve with crispy potato wedges or home fries.
- Breakfast Turkey Sausage Croissant: Turkey sausage links are placed on a fresh, warm croissant with orange-mango chutney, Asiago cheese and arugula leaves. Serve with a side of fresh, seasonal fruit.
- Signature Breakfast Sandwich: Pair egg whites with maple turkey sausage cubes, spinach leaves and shredded Cheddar on a toasted ciabatta.
