Tips for Successful Catering
In 2015, off-premise catering drew in an impressive $52.3 billion—64% of which came from restaurant catering. If your restaurant caters, or you’re considering adding catering to your dining options, use these tips to help keep your customers happy:
- Ordering should be simple and convenient. Online ordering is often the best way to go, as it also offers the added benefit of an order history for repeat customers. As always, menus and ordering sites should be mobile friendly.
- Delivery is key, and there is only one chance to make a good first impression. Orders should be accurate and delivered on time. If the order is not correct or arrives late, be sure to offer a refund or replacement.
- Remember, patrons eat with their eyes. Convey quality with food that looks delicious and is presented in an attractive way. As an example, you might arrange sandwiches on trays with their contents prominently displayed for quick and easy identification.
