September 16, 2015—Burgers are a perennial favorite, and twists on this American classic have become more popular than ever. According to the recent Technomic report, breakfast burgers are one such trend—more than a third of millennials find them appealing.1 In addition, more than a third of consumers say they would like to see more alternative burger protein options, such as turkey.1

To help operations capitalize on these trends, Butterball Foodservice provides a number of recipes, menu ideas and turkey burger inspiration:

  • Turkey Burger Benedict—Turkey burger with a poached egg, smothered in jalapeño hollandaise sauce, sautéed onions and Cheddar on a toasted, buttery brioche.
  • Turkey & Egg Breakfast Burger—Turkey burger topped with Cheddar, crispy bacon and an egg cooked sunny side up, nestled in a grilled English muffin.

In addition to these recipes, Butterball has a full line of turkey burgers available, including the All-American Grill Turkey Burger, the Mediterranean Turkey Burger, and the All-Natural Turkey Thigh Burger.

Chef Tony Seta, Director of Culinary Services for Butterball, says, “Creating innovative burgers is a fun, delicious way to entice diners to try new menu items. The breakfast burger trend allows us to experiment with the familiar to create crossover items that work in multiple dayparts. With a wide range of turkey burger recipes and trusted products, Butterball has everything chefs and operators need to create fresh, on-trend offerings that are sure to please.”
